ABOUT THE CHEF

A Chicago native, Stacey Malow fell in love with food while traveling around the world. After completing her bachelor degree, she enrolled in the Culinary Arts program at Kendall College, one of the top ten culinary schools Internationally. Following several cooking jobs, and digging her way through the trenches, she worked her way up to Executive Chef & Owner of Tomboy Restaurant in Chicago, voted one of Chicago’s favorite hot spots by Chicago Magazine and WTTW’s ‘Check Please’. She proudly served incredible and consistent food for 11 years, and closed her doors in December of 2008 to follow her dream of cooking gourmet for a “younger” clientele.
Besides her passion for food, Stacey has two other loves: her two gorgeous boys. When each of them reached the age where they were ready to experience solid foods, she had to make a decision about what to put into their bodies. Jarred food wasn’t good enough. It was important that everything they ate was fresh, not overcooked, nutritionally well balanced, and free of hormones, additives and preservatives. Not able to find food that met her expectations, she did what she did best, cooked. Most important, the food was GOURMET; flavorful combinations that couldn’t be found in grocery stores, and boy did they learn to love food.
