Yes, we prepare all meals in your kitchen. On the agreed upon cook date I will bring all my pots, pans, utensils and other equipment to your home. I will prepare the meals, label them and store them in your freezer. When I am finished, I will leave your kitchen spotless, as if I was never there.

I use microwave/freezer safe and BPA Free plastic containers.  The containers are labeled with ingredients, dates and cooking directions to make your life easy.

One of the most convenient aspects of homemade baby food is that it can go directly from freezer to microwave and be ready in seconds. The plastic containers are freezer and microwave safe, so there is no need to transfer the food for cooking.  If you prefer the stovetop, food can be slowly heated over a low flame to your desired temperature. Complete heating instructions will be included with all meals.

Cook time depends on the age of your child, the complexity of the meals, and the amount of meals you’d like stored. For younger children just starting out on solid foods, cook time will range from 2-3 hours. For older children who eat more meals and more complex combinations of flavors, cook time can range from 2-4 hours, depending on storage amounts. The more meals I make, the more time it takes.

I keep a chart for every child I cook for. Charts include allergies, topical food reactions, likes, dislikes and menus.

Most personal chef companies want you out of the kitchen. I have a completely different philosophy: EVERYONE SHOULD LEARN TO COOK – IT’S FUN!! If you want to join me, I’m happy to have you. Let’s just please arrange it in advance. Teaching you to cook gourmet baby food can be more time consuming, so I want to be sure we plan for that. Or check out our PARTY PAGE for more information on getting your friends together, and we can all make baby food together.

I am happy to do all the shopping for your cook day. However, if you’re more comfortable choosing your ingredients, I will provide you with a grocery list. Just please be sure all ingredients are bought and ready for me when I arrive at your home.

Because I am working with hot food and sharp utensils, I do ask that all children stay out of the kitchen where I am working. It’s just not safe for either of us. Also, if your child is a light sleeper, plan your cook time while he/she is awake. I would feel horrible waking your child up while I am pureeing.

I am happy to make arrangements to let myself in or you can have a neighbor do it for you. You will return to your home just the way you left it, if not cleaner. However, if you have animals, please be sure to make me aware of this in advance. I love them, and would never want to accidentally let them get away

Freezer space depends on the number of meals you request and the age of your child. Baby food portions are not typically huge. However, if you plan on a months worth of meals for a ten month old baby, you could need ¼ - ½ your freezer (based on a standard 2 door kitchen fridge/freezer). I recommend 2 weeks of meals to allow you plenty of space to work with.

I use only the freshest all natural ingredients, and no preservatives or chemical enhancers. Some clients prefer organic, and some do not. I am happy to cook either way or a combo of the two.

All menus are planned according to your child’s likes, dislikes, allergies, etc. I’m happy to work around your child’s needs.

If you’re having trouble preparing food for your toddler, I am happy to help. Meals would still be gourmet, just not pureed.
